The Times of India has ranked Jamaica amongst the safest destinations to travel to in 2022. The Times of India is the largest circulated English-language daily newspaper in the world and the most trusted among major news media outlets in India.
The ranking was based on the latest US State Department and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance as well as data from the 2021 Global Peace Index (GPI), which ranked more than 160 countries across the world on many categories.
Jamaica currently has a level 2 grouping from the CDC. Which states;
“Level 2: Moderate level of COVID-19
Make sure you are fully vaccinated before travelling.
Unvaccinated travellers who are at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19 should avoid nonessential travel to this destination. If you must travel and have concerns, talk to your doctor.”
