Beautiful Jamaican Waterfalls

JAMAICA; The Land of Wood and Water. But did you know the island has an extensive catalogue of majestic and scenic waterfalls scattered across the island? Below are just a few we’ve experienced first hand and want to share with you our followers. Stay tuned as we will be updating Jamaican Waterfalls on an ongoing basis.

Reggae Falls 

Located in the quaint rural community of Hillside in the parish of St. Thomas, Reggae Falls is the result of an abandoned hydroelectric plant built on the Johnson River. The majestic Falls is roughly 18 metres high or approx. 59ft high.

Falling Edge Waterfalls

Falling Edge Waterfalls or Bowden Hill Falls is located off the beaten path in Stony Hill, St. Andrew. The small and tranquil Falls is approximately 40ft high and cascades into a natural pool. There’s a 15 – 20 min hike involved to get to the falls, but totally worth the escape it provides from the busy city below. Breadnut Valley Falls

Another hidden gem off the beaten path in the breadbasket parish of St. Elizabeth. Breadnut Valley Falls is located on the Breadnut Valley Estate in Maggotty. It consists of several waterfalls which cascade into natural pools, each offering a unique and scenic view.

Konoko Falls

Konoko Falls in Ocho Rios, St. Ann is also home to a small zoo and museum. The site was also a Taino settlement; Jamaica’s original inhabitants.

YS Falls

YS Falls in St. Elizabeth is one of Jamaica’s most scenic attractions offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees. There are seven waterfalls, some of which cascade into natural pools.

Reach Falls

Reach Falls located in Manchioneal, Portland is fed by the Driver’s River and is a luxurious eco attraction hidden in the Montane Forest on the John Crow Mountain Range. It features a natural heart-shaped jacuzzi that massages the whole body. The beautiful cascading Falls have also been featured in a few movies.

Island Gully Falls

Island Gully Falls or the Blue Hole as it is more popularly known is located just outside of Ocho Rios, St. Ann. It’s the ideal spot for a fun day with friends and family. Check out our Youtube video here, hiking to this lovely waterfall.

Dunn’s River Falls

Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios, St. Ann is Jamaica’s most famous waterfall. The captivating falls extend across more than 600ft and flow into the Caribbean Sea. Make sure to climb the Falls when you visit.

Turtle River Falls

Turtle River Falls is located in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. The Falls consist of 14 cascading waterfalls. The property also has a walk-in bird aviary and a pool. Several varieties of indigenous and endangered plants grow naturally in the gardens.

Little Dunn’s River

Little Dunn’s River is in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, and is a stone’s throw from Dunn’s River Falls after which it was named.
