Mahogany Beach
Mahogany Beach is located at the east end of Ocho Rios and is perfect if you’re looking just to chill and relax on the beach. With beach chairs and bamboo huts on the beach, it creates the best setting for a chill day and there’s even a little stream/ river next to the beach. The beach also boasts a bar and restaurant and is a loading point for the catamaran tours or “party boats.”
Ocho Rios Bay Beach
Ocho Rios Bay Beach also called “Turtle Beach” is the largest public beach in Ocho Rios. This white sandy beach is within close proximity of the Ocho Rios Cruise Ship Pier; in fact, you will see the cruise ships once they dock. The crystal clear shallow waters make it a perfect spot if you’re travelling with children.
White River Beach
The White River Valley ends where the river meets the sea, but that’s not where the fun ends. White River Beach is usually the final stop for rafters on the river. This beautiful public beach is perfect for taking a dip after exploring the White River Valley. With white sand and clear blue waters, this beach makes for a great day by the beach as well.
Pleasure Cove Beach
Located just across the border of St. Ann and St. Mary is Pleasure Cove Beach. This scenic beach boasts white sand with relatively calm and shallow blue waters. The calm, shallow waters make this beach perfect for the whole family to enjoy. There is also a bar and restaurant on the property. The beach is very shady as there are Almond trees there, making it one of the best beaches in Ocho Rios.
Kaz Kreol Beach
Kaz Kreol Beach Lodge is a small beachfront hotel. For a fee, visitors will be allowed access to the beach. Access to the beach also includes access to lounge chairs, as well as the bar and restaurant on property. The beach is adjacent to the White River Beach and visitors can casually stroll across the beach to where the White River Valley ends.
The Cove at Drax Hall
Formerly known as Columbus Cove Beach, the Cove at Drax Hall is a beautiful hidden beach, just outside of Ocho Rios. This white sand beach is perfect for snorkeling in the clear deep blue waters. As with most beaches in Jamaica, there is an entry fee and the beach offers several facilities such as clean changing and shower areas. The property also has a bar and restaurant, making it an awesome chill spot for family and friends.
Beach at Dunn’s River Falls
Dunn’s River Falls is world famous but did you know there is also a beach on the property? The beach may not offer the thrills of climbing the infamous Falls but it’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing and snapping those awesome beach selfies. One very interesting thing about the beach at Dunn’s River is being able to submerge your body in the warm sea waters and feeling the cool undercurrents from the river.
